Anesthesia is a medical procedure and it must be applied by a professional anesthetist doctor. All our anesthetists are members of the Colombian Society of Anesthesiology.

Although in the last years we have seen many changes and progress in monitoring and anesthetic medications to make it comfortable and safe, the main key to minimize any risk is the proper and detailed pre-surgery evaluation. It allows the anesthetist to recognize and diagnose any pathologic history that may be modified or treated before the surgical procedure.

Modern anesthesia is supplied through venous link and it allows nowadays immediate recovery for nearly 100% of patients without nausea, vomit or feeling sick. This way patients reincorporate to their routine and vital activities very fast. Our anesthetists have studied a seven years long career in surgical medicine. Their specialty during four years includes studies in anesthesiology, revival and treatment of pain. They also have a subspecialty in critical care medicine and intensive care in order to offer the best safety to patients.
